Ranks

Ranks are determined by esential skill.  A clan member can rank up by their rating on XBox Live or by completing various honorable feats in matches, not including matches consisting of only DSL members.

General: The Generals keep all the clan even and the website in order. They are the ones who do most of their work off the battlefield. They keep track of member stats and ranks. If there's a clan match, practice or other event they are the ones who make sure everyone knows about it and they are the ones who organize the event. They may not be masters on the battlefield but off they are masters at their job. The Generals can over rule the Sergeants if needed.  Only a General can recruit.

Colonel: A Colonel is the second most powerful group, ranked directly below the Generals.  They make up the second half of the council along with the Generals, having almost as much power in the clan as the Generals.  The council can vote on many matters concerning the clan, such as discharging someone from the clan.  If a General isn't around at the time they lead the clan into battle.  Colonels have Level 2 Administrative Powers on the forums.  Colonels may train other ranks below them.  The limit to the number of Colonels in the clan is five.

Major: A Major is well trained in all gametypes.  They are considered the best players below the Colonels.  Majors are the most likely chosen for important clan matches or diplomatic missions.  Also, they monitor games for issues, keep the clan informed, and relay imporatant messages to the council and Generals.  Majors may train other ranks below them.  There is no limit to the number of Majors in the clan.

Captain: A Captain may not be the highest ranking member, but they still are powerful individuals.  Captains monitor games for issues, keep the clan informed, and relay imporatant messages to the council and Generals.  Captains may train other ranks below them.  There is no limit to the number of Captains in the clan.

Lieutenant: A Lieutenant has mastered 70% of all multiplayer concepts, is skilled in battle, and keeps in touch with the clan as often as four times a week.  A Lieutenant is close to having some major responsibility in the clan.  There is no limit to the number of Lieutenants in the clan.

Warrant Officer: A Warrant Officer is the first full rank that a Sergeant may be awarded and it is below all other ranks and is only one step above a Private. They must respect all ranks and must again prove their worth to the clan or run the risk of being removed. At this rank you are NOT allowed to train others unless asked for assistance by someone who is able to train members.  There is no limit to the number of Warrant Officers in the clan.

Sergeant: A Sergeant is the first full rank that a Private may be awarded and it is below all other ranks and is only one step above a Private. They have proven themselves worthy, so far, to be a full member.  They must respect all ranks and must again prove their worth to the clan or run the risk of being removed.  At this rank you are NOT allowed to train others unless asked for assistance by someone who is able to train members. There is no limit to the number of Sergeants allowed in the clan.

Private: A Private is not yet a full member of the clan, Everybody who wishes to join starts at this rank and to become a full member they must prove themselves worthy by showing the ability to obey orders and listen to the requests of the council and that of higher ranks than themselves. Unlike others within the clan Privates have no set jobs or responsibilities To do this they must show willing, loyalty, train regularly and have the ability to turn up to clan events on time.  At this rank you are NOT allowed to train others unless asked for assistance by someone who is able to train members.  There is no limit to the number of Privates allowed within the clan.

Member on Probation: A Member on Probation has commited a sort of act, which has caused them to be temporarily removed from the clan, which usually lasts from about a week to three weeks.  They may not compete in any clan matches, events, or other special things reserved for members until the probation period has been served, but can still practice with the clan.  If a clan member has been on probation three times they will be discharged from the clan permenantly.

Ally:  An Ally is the member of a clan who is allied with DSL or a member who left DSL who requested to be an Ally.  An Ally may compete in matches along side with DSL members, but DSL members have priority over Allies.  Allied clans often compete in matches against DSL for practice benefits for both clans.

Deserter:  Is a former clan member who has been discharged from the clan.  Avoid all persons labeld as Deserters to avoid the risk of being discharged also.  Note: If you leave the clan formerly and are not discharged you are not considered a Deserter.  You may also request to be an Ally even if your clan isn't Allied with DSL.
